[~psteitz] Thanks for responding. But i think the fix is broken. It does not 
work for concurrent race conditions. I have filed a bug report at 
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/POOL-426. Let me know if you think the 
callout is legimitate here. I already have a fix for this but I would like your 
thoughts on the issue. Thanks!
