I committed the "estimation of pi" example in "src/userguide":
commit a9092d38d9d00e44cf178a8f164fa693705e87b7
It is quite different from your proposed file.
One of the reasons is that the convergence scheme won't work.
The other is that by comparing your code with mine, you can see what I think is
better style (without resorting to a long explanation).
Please have a look, and ask questions if something is not clear (or wrong!).
