weinre now includes a "strict mode" demo; on the weinre server home page, under
"Target Demos" there is a link to "the non-minified strict demo". Try running
that and see if you can get it to fail.
I tried running under both Chrome and "Internet" on my Android device,
eventually got both to work successfully. Had to reboot the device first.
Assuming you can get these to run, then there must something else that "strict
mode" disables, that's not in the strict mode demo, that's horking it up. But
want to make sure at least this works for you.
