I noticed that the web view is recreated:
// re-create WKWebView, since we need to update configuration
WKWebView* wkWebView = [[WKWebView alloc]
initWithFrame:self.engineWebView.frame configuration:configuration];
Maybe SwiftUI is using the previous version.
