> We really don't need splashscreen but since it cannot be disabled, we expected that the default cordova logo will be replaced with the app icon if not configured. We could probably do this however, the requirements of the splashscreen icon is not identical to the App launcher icon and thus it probably won't look right without a graphic designed to be used in the splashscreen. Cordova enables splashscreen with background, so Android expects a 240x240dp image, with the icon content to fix within a 160dp center diameter. Whereas an App Launch Icon is suppose to be 108x108dp, with the icon contents being no larger than 72x72dp. Therefore, I would recommend crafting a drawable resource.. that's what Google would expect you to do, however, Android does default to the app launcher icon if the splashscreen icon is not present. So I do still agree that Cordova default behaviour should be the same. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
