Sebastian Futschikato commented on CB-5998: ------------------------------------------- Thanks for your answer. Yes, the APN settings list a proxy. I went to my provider's internet page and it lists APN settings for android without a proxy. I set up an new APN with the given settings and now it all works (even my ajax requests). Hooray :) Thank you, thank you a hundred thousand times :) > Internet access over mobile network does not work > ------------------------------------------------- > > Key: CB-5998 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-5998 > Project: Apache Cordova > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Android > Affects Versions: 3.3.0 > Environment: *OS*: ArchLinux > *Devices*: Huawei Ideos X3 and Samsung Galaxy S II (both with Android 2.3.x) > Reporter: Sebastian Futschikato > > Hi folks :) > My app cannot access the internet over the mobile network (cell phone system) > although the ordinary android browser has access to the internet. Over WLAN > the app can access the internet. Here some details: > - I chowned the global PhoneGap/Cordova folder to the current user in order > to debar permission problems. > - I created a brand-new test project (with CLI) with just a page and a link > on it. If you click the link, with WLAN the app loads the internet page, with > mobile network an application error occurs ("The connection to the server was > unsuccessful.") > - I tested it with the following plugins activated: network-information, > inappbrowser, org.apache.cordova.file-transfer > - I removed and added the plugins again + rebuilt the app. > - I tested it with no plugins activated (also with a brand-new project). > - I also built the app with the PhoneGap Build Service - didn't help either. > - The geolocation API does not seem to work either but I focussed more on the > internet problem. On the other hand, APIs like the camera or notifications > work as expected. > I don't know what's wrong. To me it looks like a bug. Can anyone confirm this? > Regards, > Sebastian > *Edit:* Ok, the geolocation API works as well. The documentation listed a > "quirk" for android that works for me. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.1.5#6160)
