Ian Clelland commented on CB-6079: ---------------------------------- {{src="files/HLAAOV113A130003.mp4"}} should mean that Android is using a {{file:///}} URL for the video, which *should* work correctly, as far as I can tell. (I'm presuming here that you haven't changed your {{config.xml}} to point your start page anywhere other than the default.) I mentioned the SD card only because that's been the default storage location for downloaded user files for a while now, and it was the first thing I tried. You should be able to use your application's assets as a source for video files. I'll do a bit more investigation to see if I can reproduce this. > Android video mediaplayer error > ------------------------------- > > Key: CB-6079 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-6079 > Project: Apache Cordova > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Android > Affects Versions: 3.3.0 > Environment: OSX 10.8.5, Android Developer Tools > Reporter: Arnout > Labels: Android, Video > Fix For: 3.3.0 > > > I have a project with HTML5 video playback. > On iOS everything works great, but if I build the same project for Android > the video doesn't want to play. > This is the error I get in LogCat: "Mediaplayer Error (1, -2147483648)". > I tried to play the video with another plugin but without result. > Installed platforms: android 3.3.0, ios 3.3.0 > Installed plugins: > jaeger.Html5Video', > 'org.apache.cordova.device', > 'org.apache.cordova.file', > 'org.apache.cordova.inappbrowser' -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.1.5#6160)
