The other platforms ( Android and BlackBerry ) support #FF00FF00 aka #AARRGGBB values. Because the background can only be opaque, the alpha value should simply be ignored. However, your code will reject it if the string is not exactly 7 chars in length. Also, we should support #FFF shorthand as well, for consistency with BlackBerry. > WP8.
