I am using the PPA version of cordova : sudo apt-add-repository
ppa:cordova-ubuntu/ppa; and the new cordova cli
I've rerun the command with debugging enabled - I've copied what copied what I
get after running the command below:
"root@time:/var/www/html/tester# cordova run ubuntu -d
Executing "before_run" hook for all plugins.
Executing "before_prepare" hook for all plugins.
Searching PlatformJson files for differences between project vs. platform
installed plugins
No differences found between project and ubuntu platform. Continuing...
Generating config.xml from defaults for platform "ubuntu"
Executing "after_prepare" hook for all plugins.
Running command: /var/www/html/tester/platforms/ubuntu/cordova/run
Building Desktop Application...
In order to build debian package, execute:
cd
/var/www/html/tester/platforms/ubuntu/native/com.ubuntu.developer.myid.tester;
debuild
Build Successful. Running the application.
Running Cordova
Launching the application.
"
As you can see it gets stuck on Launching the application -
Notes:
- I'm running this on my desktop (not device)
- The white window shows up "Launching application", and then just freezes
(turning grey on ubuntu)

I can't seem to get a higher version that 4.3.1 for the cordova-cli :
"root@time:/var/www/html# apt-cache policy cordova-cli
cordova-cli:
Installed: 4.3.1-ubuntu3~ubuntu15.10.1
Candidate: 4.3.1-ubuntu3~ubuntu15.10.1
