Like hakim noted the query that [~khfaraaz] reported in the description could 
not possibly have caused this failure. I don't know what query [~Paul.Rogers] 
used for testing this. 

Irrespective of any of the above we should not close this jira as managed sort 
is not enabled by default in 1.10.0, unless Paul made changes which affect both 
the existing sort and the managed sort.
