According to a [long
discussion|https://www.mail-archive.com/dev@drill.apache.org/msg41133.html] on
the dev mailing list, final decision was made to compare few available options
and based on the results select the best possible memory layout for Drill.
Options to compare:
* Drill vectors
* Arrow vectors
* Java objects in a heap.
