Jinfeng, the patch for this JIRa contains a re-enabling of a rewrite rule that
was included with the initial flatten patch, but I commented out the line in
DefaultSqlHandler that ran the rule when it had problems in regression testing.
I have posted a new diff to the initial flatten review that highlights the
changes I made with the fixes and enabling the rule. If you could expand the
context views on this review page and also review the rest of the
RexVisitorComplexExprSplitter and SplitUpComplexExpressions classes? Mehant did
a quick review of these rewrite rules, but I think it would be good to have
them reviewed again.
