James Dailey commented on FINERACT-1729:
----------------------------------------

Frank - We also need to know what source code or build you are using. The
community is prioritizing fixes to releases 1.7 and later as of this date.
(10-Oct-2022).

If this is in the dev branch on GitHub as of a specific date, also indicate
that.

The display is of course from the Mifos UI, so the assumption is that the UI is
doing the right thing. It may or may not be the case. Can you also verify via
API call?

>
> *Steps to Reproduce*
> # Create a savings account with overdraft setup (say 365% per year which is
> approx. 1% per day)
> # Make a withdrawal to take the account into overdraft. Backdate this
> withdrawal a few days
> # Run the interest posting job
> # Go back to the account and observe the interest postings
> *Expected*
> Interest should be posted correctly for all the days since the withdraw date
> to the current date. That means, the interest posted on the first day should
> affect the end of day balance for the first day and this should be taken into
> account when posting interest for the second day and so on.
> *Actual*
> The overdraft interest amount is wrong and it's the same for all the days.
> See attachment.
