Aman-Mittal opened a new issue, #748:
URL: https://github.com/apache/fineract-backoffice-ui/issues/748
## What happens
On `/clients/view/{id}` → Client Details → **Contact & Status**:
```
Activation Date Jan 2, 2025, 12:00:00 AM GMT+5:30
Timeline (Submitted) Jan 1, 2025, 12:00:00 AM GMT+5:30
```
Fineract sends these as local dates (`"activationDate": [2025, 1, 2]`).
There's no time and no zone, so `12:00:00 AM GMT+5:30` is invented precision.
The suffix changes with the viewer's machine; the same record in an
`America/Los_Angeles` browser reads `… 12:00:00 AM PST`.
The **date itself is correct** in both time zones (checked: still Jan 2 in
Los Angeles), so this isn't an off-by-one. It's a display-format problem.
It's also inconsistent. The loan record on the same tenant shows `Submitted
Date 01/10/2025` and `Expected Disbursement 30/10/2025`, so two record screens
use two date formats for the same kind of field.
## Suggested fix
Format Fineract local dates as dates only, through one shared pipe or
formatter, and use it on every record screen. The format should follow the
user's locale or the tenant's configured date format rather than being chosen
per component. The grep target is any `date` pipe or `toLocaleString` call
applied to a `[y, m, d]` array converted into a `Date`.
## Tested against
Deployed build of `main`
(https://aman-mittal.github.io/fineract-backoffice-ui), backend
`sandbox.mifos.community`, Chrome 1440×900, browser time zones Asia/Kolkata and
America/Los_Angeles, 2026-10-16.
