Aman-Mittal opened a new issue, #760: URL: https://github.com/apache/fineract-backoffice-ui/issues/760
### Summary On a loan's **Transactions** tab, each repayment row has two icon-only actions: an eye (View) and a red curved arrow (`arrow-undo-outline`) that performs a **Chargeback**. Neither `ion-button` host has an `aria-label` or `title`. The chargeback button's inner native button has no name either, so screen readers announce just "button". Visually, the undo-arrow suggests "undo this transaction", but it actually starts a chargeback, which is a new financial transaction with different accounting. ### Environment - App: https://aman-mittal.github.io/fineract-backoffice-ui (deployed `main`), `/loans/view/2` → Transactions - Backend: `sandbox.mifos.community` - Role: superuser - 2026-10-16 ### Preconditions An active loan with a repayment. ### Steps to reproduce 1. Open the loan → **Transactions**. 2. Hover or focus the two icons at the end of a Repayment row, or inspect them with a screen reader. ### Expected behavior - Each action has an accessible name and visible tooltip: "View transaction" and "Charge back this repayment". - Chargeback uses an icon and colour that don't read as "undo". The real undo path (View → Adjust Transaction with amount 0) is clearly labelled as reversal. ### Actual behavior ``` ion-button (eye-outline) aria-label: none, title: none → inner <button aria-label="View"> ion-button (arrow-undo-outline, red) aria-label: none, title: none → inner <button> with no name data-testid="loan-chargeback-5", appRequiresPermission="CHARGEBACK_LOAN" ``` ### Evidence DOM inspection on loan 2, transactions 5 and 6. ### Impact - WCAG 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value) and 2.4.6: a keyboard or screen-reader user can't tell what the red button does before pressing it. - A sighted user correcting a mistaken payment (for example the duplicate from the double-submit issue filed alongside this one) is likely to press the "undo" arrow and post a chargeback instead of a reversal. ### Suggested investigation Add `aria-label` and `appTooltip` with translated text to both row actions, choose a non-undo icon for chargeback, and consider surfacing "Reverse (adjust to 0)" as its own clearly named row action. ### Verification status Reproduced (DOM). Chargeback itself was not executed. ### Related endpoints `POST /loans/{id}/transactions/{txId}?command=chargeback` ### Acceptance criteria - Both row actions have accessible names and tooltips. - The chargeback icon no longer suggests undo. - The a11y name check (`scripts/check-a11y-names.mjs`) covers this template. ### Related issues #503 (added the chargeback action). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
