The player does not correctly determine the atom boundaries when there are 
discretionary hyphens in the text.  So we've hacked this workaround and are 
still finding bugs in our workaround.  If you know your content won't use 
discretionary hyphens you can set that flag and probably get better performance 
and fewer bugs.
