I'm not a contributor but I've been a Flash/Flex developer for years. Both the
AIR-based and ANT-based installers are broken right now, and not knowing much
about ANT I've been unable to work around it (spent all afternoon trying to
debug this!).
These instructions all fail on Mac:

Using the AIR installer it gets about 80% done but then craps out when it tries
to install OSMF. The ANT-based installer gets a good ways thru but then dies
on OSMF as well. The problem is that the direct link the installers look for no
longer exists, it's a 503 error:

You can download OSMF.swc from this URL, but it's some weird download page that
redirects to a mirror and I can't find a way to get a non-timestamped url right
to the SWC that will work in the ANT installer:

I dug around in the ANT installer.xml and disabled the OSMF download (even tho
I need OSMF, just a hack) - and then the ANT installer complained about some
other .jar file that wasn't at the expected sourceforge url. At that point I
gave up.
Even though there aren't so many people downloading Flex these days, this is a
real problem. Right now it's uninstallable on Mac. Somebody PLEASE fix these
issues. I would try myself, but I don't even know where to start. Thanks!!
