The FlexJS ArrayList in the Collections project does dispatch itemAdded, 
itemRemoved, and itemUpdated events. I had forgotten about the 
DataProviderChangeNotifier which should react to the ArrayList events. However, 
it simply responds with "dataProviderChanged" event. The 
DataItemRendererFactoryForArrayListData bead should pick up that event. But if 
the dataProvider has not be *replaced* it will not react and replace all of the 
itemRenderers.

In the pay-as-you-go world of FlexJS, you would write a new 
DataProviderChangeNotifier (or extend the original which should, IMO, have the 
event handlers as protected functions, not private ones) that dispatched more 
events that a new itemRenderer factory would pick up and actually react by 
changing or notifying the itemRenderers.
