    @aljoscha I think we have two options:
    
      * Those sources with return constant false in reachedEnd() and killed 
externally when the user desires to do so.
      * They do data-driven close, where the next() can set reachedEnd() true 
upon a trigger.
    
    Storm has an interface similar to this and seems to work. :) Task killing 
is quite graceful there however, we need to be more careful there then.
