I agree with Stephan's opinion. That's why I also have the test as a separate
commit and corresponding comments in the tests/PR description.
I think for the bugfix release, we have two options:
1) Merge it as is including the test
2) Merge it without the test
Option 3) would be to refactor the tests, but unfortunately I think that
requires refactoring the main line code. Maybe [~StephanEwen] has an idea to do
this or adjust the test without much overhead?
