   The functionality can be valid but I am not sure if the attached JIRA is 
solved by this PR. Or at least the two do not seem to be related. This seems to 
be solving a concurrent modification exception with changing the debug level of 
the logger, which is counter-intuitive.
   
   My suggestion is to change the JIRA because the two do not seem to be 
related. Either change the title and description of the existing JIRA or create 
a subtask that explains what this commit does.
