To nudge the removal of legacy `Scheduler`, since the full usages of it are coupled with `Instance`, I can think of 2 approach: 1. Keep this pr and also the thread WIP, notify committer when finish all works (Scheduler and Instance). 2. Separated this removal testcase by testcase, such as "Port PointwisePatternTest to new codebase". This follows Till's sort scheme and we can complete the whole job by fine-grained parts. In addition, most of these test cases, the porting job is fully about replacing `Scheduler`. What do you think?
