Thus, I reversed the lib shading/relocation logic and created [FLINK-12310](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-12310) to track. Stephan suggested I look at the original pom (not the reduced pom) and the embedded NOTICE inside hive jars. I will take a look at it. At the same time, may be good to start pushing for [HIVE-16391](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-16391) to let hive publish correct pom file in future versions.
