About data generator and license: (1) I had a survey and tried the alternative Java implementations you posted, they are older version and have no answer set and query template. If we use them, we can not validate the accuracy of result although many open source SQL system like hive/presto use them. Both hive 、presto、spark didn‘t validate the result. (2) about the license， the queries generated from templates is constant. Could we keep these queries and remove all templates files just like databricks: [spark-sql-perf](https://github.com/databricks/spark-sql-perf/tree/master/src/main/resources/tpcds_2_4) ?
