For the operations playground, the things that had to be adapted were the need to configure memory for the jobmanager, and updating the log4j config (I simply used the 1.11 defaults for both). For the table walkthrough, some things must have changed since 1.11-SNAPSHOT. In particular, the JDBC connector was renamed.
