   @AHeise I was reacting to two things:
   
   1. All of the other filesystems with documentation pages adjacent to this 
one explicitly mention and include an example of using them for checkpointing. 
Not mentioning this use case on this page will raise questions in the minds of 
some readers.
   
   2. While the hadoop-based implementation of a filesystem on S3 can be used 
for checkpointing, this should be avoided because that implementation makes a 
lot of expensive S3 HEAD requests and hits request rate limits very quickly. 
I'm wondering if this GCS filesystem has similar problems when used for 
checkpointing. @afedulov, do you know?
