The timer is fired in {{InternalTimerServiceImpl.onProcessingTime(long)}}, and next timer will be registered in {{SystemProcessingTimeService.registerTimer}}. And in {{SystemProcessingTimeService.registerTimer}}, Flink delays the firing of timer by 1ms. Based on the mechanism above, we can see that Flink can only consume 1,000 timers per millionsecond at most, right? And if we don't ignore the time cost of {{triggerTarget.onProcessingTime}}, Flink will be able to consume less than 1,000 timers per millionsecond.
