I would like to start a discussion about whether we should add this to the
Flink code base.
To get a better understanding, it would be good to now:
1. How many users would rely on this feature? Maybe [~mohitsethi] and
[~ivan.mushketyk] could elaborate on this.
2. What would be the main advantage of having it inside the Flink code base,
rather than as a separate project?
3. Who would be willing to maintain the code?
4. What kind of dependencies and licenses would this add?
