Based on discussions with the JOSDK developers this feature is not on their
short term roadmap as almost no production user requests it.
The simple deployment based recovery (combined with
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-27956) should be enough for us
until this feature becomes available, and even then it would only provide
limited real value.
