[~shalini] [~xuyangzhong] Where does this Jira and associated PRs stand now
that version 2 is out? I assume we should not deprecate these APIs in master or
backport to version 2, until we go to Flink version 3; as we should not remove
APIs without a version change and the next version change will be to 3.
