david radley commented on FLINK-38093:
--------------------------------------

The Flink Kubenetes operator already supports this level of Fabric8

[level of Fabric8
](https://github.com/apache/flink-kubernetes-operator/blob/b03ebae53ceb5762c0a8ce54d8541620c0786b8e/pom.xml#L81
 )

It looks like the Flink Kubenetes operator still uses [OK
HTTP]([https://github.com/apache/flink-kubernetes-operator/blob/b03ebae53ceb5762c0a8ce54d8541620c0786b8e/pom.xml#L96).]

I suggest which ever way we choose we should be consistent across the Flink
repo and the operator repo.

> Update version of Fabric8 to 7.3.1

> Fabric8 should be updated to the latest version to get the latest
> improvements and bug fixes available.
> It should be investigated whether it's worth it to use Vert.x, the new
> default HTTP library used by Fabric8 and drop OkHttp.
