I've already started working on this on a draft PR, sorry about the confusing
name: [https://github.com/apache/flink/pull/27368]
I will finalize the PR in the coming days. I think upgrading Pekko also has to
be done, as the Netty version (4.2.x) in the new flink-shaded release is also
used by a newer Pekko version.
Let me know if you think we can work together on this, but I would also gladly
do the whole upgrade, as I think most of the work is already done in the PR.
