Thanks for confirming the approach and assigning the issue to me!

I’ll start working on the fix and the corresponding regression tests. Recently, 
I’ve also been working on production-oriented PyFlink features and improving 
PyFlink’s usability in real-world Flink workloads, so I’m particularly 
interested in contributing to this area.

I’ll keep the ticket updated and share the implementation once it is ready.
