It appears that the failing StressNewTest seen in this PR is caused by
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GEODE-8320 and has not been introduced by
these changes, so with a clean pre-checkin, this should be okay to merge,
although ideally, it would be better to fix the underlying issue and then allow
the StressNewTest to pass 100% of the time before merging this.
