In GEODE-8506 we introduced reflection on byte buffers to ascertain the
underlying buffer of a _slice_. We should remove this reflection and change
BufferPool to return an object that knows about the _slice_ and its underlying
buffer.
This will improve performance on every buffer-release operation.
