Thanks [~Whitemoon]! This worked for me. After I did a
[guac-install|[https://github.com/MysticRyuujin/guac-install]] on an Ubuntu
18.04 LTS I was running into the error above.
My mysql conf file was loated at /etc/mysql/mysql.conf.d/mysqld.cnf but
otherwise your commands were spot on!
