Pietro G created GUACAMOLE-1235:
-----------------------------------
Summary: Client timeout anomaly
Key: GUACAMOLE-1235
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-1235
Project: Guacamole
Issue Type: Bug
Components: guacamole
Affects Versions: 1.2.0
Environment: Clients and server used during tests run Linux.
Client affected:
Client 1: Debian 9
Client 2: Ubuntu 20.04
Server: CentOS 7
Guacamole: 1.2.0
Reporter: Pietro G
Attachments: guacamole-client-log.txt, guacamole-server-log.txt,

I have been testing guacamole connection sharing through share links but
unfortunately something strange happens.
>From a client connected to the shared connection using the share link and
>through a fast 4G connection I get this error message quite often; let's say
>every minute:
!image-2020-12-10-11-51-06-284.png!
if I click on the "Reconnect" button immediately after its appearance,
connection is reestablished and everything runs fine for the following minute,
then the error starts appearing again.
The situation is quite strange as the connection is fast and there are no
issues or slowdowns while surfing the Internet or using other network
applications.
I have tested with another computer using a WiFi connection and another 4G and
the issue sometimes occurs but not that often (one hour+ with no issues)
Then I tested with a third computer using a 3G/H+ connection and the issue
occurs with the same frequency (1 or 2 minutes).
*In the attachment logs for: guacamole-client, guacamole-server, reverse proxy*
Here is a small schematic about the environment:
Client Browser → Internet → Reverse Proxy → Tomcat (serving GuacamoleClient) →
guacd → RDP server
Between the client browser and the reverse proxy there are no components that
could buffer data (e.g. forward proxies, antivirus software, ...).
Could you give me some suggestions?
More details about the environment in the Environment section
Thank you very much in advance
