[~mjumper] This happened on a Guacamole RDP session as well, should not have
mention a downstream product.
This was a separate core cause from GUACAMOLE-2217 (but with similar symptom)
that impacted non-macOS systems as well. Thus a separate Jira. However, it made
sense to include the fix into GUACAMOLE-2217 as it was tightly integrated into
it's fix & could not be cleanly separated.
