hongwu commented on HAWQ-1011: ------------------------------ Hi [~kdunn926] Thanks for pointing it out. In our current discussion, if users specify with a existed table name, the "hawq register" tool will print a error message and then exit. We do not want to confuse user with the overwrite or drop behavior, we just let users themselves to drop. > Check whether the table to be registered is existed > --------------------------------------------------- > > Key: HAWQ-1011 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HAWQ-1011 > Project: Apache HAWQ > Issue Type: Sub-task > Components: Command Line Tools > Affects Versions: 2.0.1.0-incubating > Reporter: hongwu > Assignee: hongwu > Fix For: 2.0.1.0-incubating > > > Check whether the table to be registered is existed or not.
