Of these subtasks, probably performance improvements (HBASE-8694) and type
comparisons (HBASE-8863) could be tackled by a willing individual. Client-side
API enhancements will take some time for discussion. I think the ImportTSV
stuff should be tackled after we've defined a language for type declaration
(similar to what we have for Filters in {{ParseFilter}}).
