bq. We would like to have this patch to go in 0.96 as well as 0.98 . I can
create two separated patches depending on what is required to be done for each
branch.
This patch can't go into 0.96. That should be clear. We are talking about
deprecations int 0.96 that make it possible to put it into 0.98.
