[~wheat9] it is deprecated... and the implication is?  That you will purge in a 
2.4 release?  Why not in a 3.0?  Which hadoop issue is this?  Thanks.  (For a 
whiff of why we are disturbed, we would like to avoid there being yet more 
variants on our hbase x hadoop table here 
http://hbase.apache.org/book.html#hadoop  -- it is frightening enough as it is)
