Anoop Sam John commented on HBASE-10771:
----------------------------------------

Oh yes Stack.. We are violating.. My bad I didnt read those javadoc yet. Would
like to go with BR instead of BB as we have freedom of going with netty or
others.
Dont want to make this object fat. That is why was not thinking even adding a
mark or reset kind of things also.. Why the put and get are added is it can
abstract the impl detail.. Onheap and offheap can impl diff ..

> While doing HBASE-10713 I came across the need to write int/long (and read
> also) from a ByteRange. CellBlocks are backed by ByteRange. So we can add
> such APIs.
> Also as per HBASE-10750 we return a ByteRange from MSLAB and also discussion
> under HBASE-10191 suggest we can have BR backed HFileBlocks etc.
