Option of introducing new hook is the best.  But still I was thinking should we 
change the behaviour of the existing hooks in the trunk?
Only preCheckAndPut, preCheckAndDelete, preIncrement and preAppend needs 
change.  One doubt I had in mind was that should we have a new hook before 
preBatchMutate like preDeleteWithRowLock() atleast in cases were we need to 
have control on how the delete works. May be the name could be something else 
too not with preXXXWithRowLock().
