Grouping edits is good idea.
The originating cluster will always just have WALEdits (unless we write 
WALEdits and ReplEdits).
At the first replicated cluster we'd then write ReplEdits, which also have to 
function as WALEdits (unless we write both again).

At the same time I like the simplicity of WAL shipping and just creating Puts 
and Deletes at the replication site to deploy the changes.
