Elliott Clark commented on HBASE-13316:
---------------------------------------
Is there a way to move the warm up call into a thread pool so that bulk assign
doesn't have a blocking call done in serial?
Is there an issue if warm up is running while an open for that region is sent?
Nits:
There are a bunch of * imports. We generally try and stay away from those.
There are javadoc @params that aren't filled out. Either remove them or fill
them out.
> Reduce the downtime on panned moves of regions

> The current behavior of a region move shuts down a region and then starts is
> up in another regionserver. This causes increased latency and possibly
> timeouts till the new region's cache is fully warmed up. We can make a region
> move less disruptive by warming the cache in the destination region server
> before shutting dow the old region.
