Enis Soztutar commented on HBASE-13625: --------------------------------------- I think you have a whitespace in front of the config values. Can you please remove those. {code} <value> /user/${user.name}/hbase-staging</value> {code} Otherwise looks good to me. One thing we should look out is that it is not guaranteed that these dirs are created. Maybe we can do a graceful failover to the /tmp dir in case? Maybe we can check if exists use this dir, otherwise use /tmp ? What do you think [~adityakishore]? > Use HDFS for HFileOutputFormat2 partitioner's path > -------------------------------------------------- > > Key: HBASE-13625 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-13625 > Project: HBase > Issue Type: Bug > Components: mapreduce > Affects Versions: 2.0.0, 1.1.0, 1.2.0 > Reporter: Stephen Yuan Jiang > Assignee: Stephen Yuan Jiang > Attachments: HBASE-13625.patch > > > HBASE-13010 changed hard-coded '/tmp' in HFileOutputFormat2 partitioner's > path to 'hadoop.tmp.dir'.
