Anoop Sam John commented on HBASE-18298:
----------------------------------------

As Stack said. There is a config to decide what should be done when a CP
throws an Exception. By default that config says abort the server. You should
be able to make use of it.
Stack asked in that issue discussion whether we should introduce some special
Exception type for CPs to suggest RS to abort. Let us know whether that is
needed.
This config of abort on Exception is to be set false for Phoenix usage? In
such case RS wont get aborted. Only that particular CP will get unloaded. In
such a case, as Stack suggested we need special Exception to force RS to abort.
