I am thinking in the new API we'll be adding we should allow the specification
of more than one region to be dropped. Presumably the regions should be
adjacent.
This would be useful when, say, the cron job that calls this new API to clean
up obsolete data got interrupted (server down time, etc) and there is a need to
catch up with data cleansing.
