Thanks for your email and the QA testing report. I have removed the 13
whitespaces present in the previous patch and re-created the patch named
HBASE-7129.0001.patch as in the attachment. I am now re-submiting the modified
patch to the HBase community.
No new tests are needed for this patch because it is in the category of Apache
HBase Rest (WebHBase) documentation with examples (with Content-Type being
application/json or text/xml). The examples are modified from the working
WebHBase curl commands against the HBase/WebHBase (v1.1.2) on our company's
enterprise HDP clusters (kerberized, Stargate service turned on, connection via
Stargate servers or knox servers or F5) - security info and connection info
etc had been removed or modified to be in consistence with other parts of HBase
REST documentation. In addition, the original testing failure - "root in the
patch failed", as per Kevin Risden, is not because of the original
HBase-7129.patch per se, so I will not address it here.
